While detailed practice management is best done on desktop, we ensured doctors can perform essential tasks on mobile devices. They can view their schedule, accept or reschedule appointments, and even conduct video consultations from their smartphones, providing flexibility for busy healthcare professionals.
Following the success of the patient-facing Airi.health platform, we developed Airi Doctor as the dedicated portal for healthcare providers. Doctors needed a powerful yet intuitive dashboard to manage their online practice, control their schedules, and deliver quality care through video consultations.
The platform needed to seamlessly integrate with the patient portal, ensuring real-time synchronization of appointments, prescriptions, and medical records. Doctors required tools to build their professional profiles that would appear on Airi.health, helping patients find and choose them based on credentials, experience, and specializations.
Designing a dashboard that balances comprehensive functionality with ease of use was challenging. Doctors have limited time and need quick access to essential features without navigating complex menus. The interface had to accommodate various workflows, from quick appointment checks to detailed patient consultations.
Synchronizing data in real-time between the doctor dashboard and patient platform required careful architecture. When a doctor updates their availability or completes a consultation, changes must reflect immediately on the patient side. We also needed to implement a robust prescription system with drug databases and interaction warnings.
We created a streamlined admin dashboard using Next.js with a focus on efficiency and usability. The interface features a clean design with quick-action buttons for common tasks like starting consultations, viewing upcoming appointments, and accessing patient records. Chart.js powers the analytics section, giving doctors insights into their practice performance.
The profile management system allows doctors to add detailed information including qualifications, experience, clinic locations, and consultation fees - all of which automatically update on their public Airi.health profile. The video consultation interface includes screen sharing, file sharing for reports, and integrated prescription writing. Availability management supports complex scheduling including different hours for different days and multiple clinic locations.
